This Privacy Policy explains how IPO Buddy ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the IPO Buddy mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1.Information We Collect
IPO Buddy is designed to work without requiring you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number through the App itself. What we do collect is limited to:

We do not show ads in the App, and we do not collect financial account details, PAN/Aadhaar, bank information, or trading credentials. IPO, GMP, and subscription figures shown in the App are publicly available market data, not personal information about you.
2.How We Use Information
- To deliver push notifications you've opted into (new IPO listings, GMP changes, allotment/listing day alerts).
- To detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical issues.
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve app features.
- To respond to support requests you send us directly.
- To comply with legal obligations, where applicable.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
3.Third-Party Services
The App is built on Google Firebase, which provides the underlying infrastructure for push notifications and app data. Firebase may also provide analytics and crash-reporting functionality (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics) that collects device and usage information as described in Section 1. Firebase is operated by Google LLC and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not integrate any advertising SDKs (e.g. Google AdMob) in the App. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
5.Data Retention
Device/notification tokens and diagnostic data are retained only for as long as needed to provide the App's functionality (delivering alerts, diagnosing issues) or as required by applicable law. Uninstalling the App invalidates your device's push notification token, after which we can no longer send you notifications. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve your request.
6.Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) — to protect information handled by the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.Your Rights & Choices
- Notifications — you can disable push notifications at any time from your device's system settings, or by unsubscribing from specific alert topics within the App.
- Deletion — since the App doesn't use accounts, most data (like your notification token) is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App. To request deletion of any diagnostic/log data associated with your device sooner, contact us at the email address below.
- Access & correction — because we don't collect identifying personal information through the App, there is generally no personal profile to access or correct. If you've emailed us, you can request a copy or deletion of that correspondence.
9.Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that we've inadvertently collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us using the details below.
10.International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer, in accordance with Google's data-protection safeguards.
11.Links to Other Sites
The App may contain links to external websites (e.g. exchange or company IPO pages, RHP/DRHP documents). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.
12.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
